Lyrics by Gaazi Moin beautifully express this emotion,” said Deepa Joshi who released her music video Shringar Hai Sajna at Famous Studios in South Mumbai.
“Music runs in my blood hence at any given opportunity I perform for various shows. It is since the last 3-4 years that I have settled in Mumbai having performed at several shows here,” says Deepa Joshi hails from Kumaon (Uttarakhand) and she attained Sangeet Siksha (music training) in Lucknow from her guru Late Vinod Chatterji in Sugam Sangeet and Classical music.
It was in 2022 when she collaborated with mentor Padma Shri Anup Jalota for the ghazal ‘Nafrat Kisi ke saath, Mohabbat kisi ke saath.” She attained further recognition with the release of her solo albums – Kanha o Kanha Mein Katputli and Sur Ki Sadhna Ishwar Ki Aradhana.
Still attached to her roots, Deepa Joshi has just released her Kumaoni song, a folk song that is highly appreciated by her fans.
Rarely would one see a singer who is as proficient and successful in varied genre of songs such as Deepa Joshi who has a great fan following for her romantic songs, ghazals, Kumaoni folk songs, bhajans and she has rendered her voice for Panchmukhi Hanuman song.
The beauty of this ode to love is that in between there is a rap version imbeded that livens up the tempo of this romantic song that is sure to be a hit during marriage parties and lively moments in our lives.
“The lady in the video expresses that ‘though mascara, kaajal, bindiya, jhumkha, baali, nathiya are basic requirements of a woman, but more important than these are my Saajan (beloved). It is bound to be a favourite of couples and those in love, and the beauty of this song is that it’s melody is so appealing that it will be loved by young and the old.
“I have deliberately adopted a simple format of story telling in this music video. Shringar is connected to our culture and have portrayed beauty and relationship in a linear way. Love is expressed in terms of pure emotions of love that enhance the inner beauty of a woman, rather than the material ornaments and cosmetics. This tactic enhances the depth of our video,” said Prabhakar Shukla speaking to FilmyTown.com further adding that it was shot in a bungalow in Madh Island.
Ad-filmmaker who has about 700 ad films to his credit – Prabhakar Shukla is the director of this music video. Shukla has also directed few nationbally acclaimed feature films. Lately his ad film Pyar Ki Bharni was chosen among the top 5 in Campaign India.
